Adam was born in 1972, in Chicago, Illinois. He is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, and currently lives and works in Ontario, Canada.

In his early 20’s, while living in Brooklyn, New York, he co-owned and operated, “Sarkana”, a Materials of Fine Arts Atelier, where he researched and produced traditional painting materials for himself and local artists.

Later, while studying in Florence, Italy, his experience with materials enabled him to work as a studio assistant at Charles Cecil Studios, where he furthered his studies on the materials and painting techniques of the Old Masters. During his time in Italy, Adam exhibited his work with Accesso Galleria, in Pietrasanta, a gallery he continues to be represented by today.

After his classical training in Italy, he moved to Montreal, Quebec, in 2012. Once in Canada, he began to exhibit his work with Oeno Gallery, in Prince Edward County, Ontario, as well as in Toronto, at the Art Gallery of Ontario’s, “Art Rental and Sales”. He also had his work showcased at the 2013 Toronto International Art Fair, as part of the Art Gallery of Ontario’s “Art Rental and Sales” curator’s booth.

In 2013, he began to exhibit with Gallery Van Campen & Rochtus, in Antwerp, Belgium. His latest joint exhibition, a collection of new paintings with Sharon Okun, entitled “In The Same Deep Water As You”, meant to be held at Scrap Metal Gallery, in Toronto, was instead exhibited online, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He looks forward to having his work included in Bruce Bailey’s upcoming Fête Champêtre, to benefit the MMFA, September, 2021.
